You must read and agree to the following Terms of Service before sending and receiving mail via Yapwrite.com LLC, or using it's services in any way.

By clicking Accept you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service upon creation of your paid Yapwrite.com LLC subscription or debit account. You, the “Client” grant permission to Yapwrite.com LLC to print and mail emails via the United States Postal Service on your behalf. Yapwrite.com LLC is not responsible for delays due to incorrect address or any postponement or denial of mail due to the facility, prison, jail, or US Postal Service. You authorize Yapwrite.com LLC to open letters sent to you via the Yapwrite.com LLC mailing service so that they may be scanned and emailed. Yapwrite.com LLC does not modify messages sent or received on Client’s behalf. You and the inmate are responsible for meeting all rules and regulations of facilities receiving mail via Yapwrite.com LLC. You shall not use the services of Yapwrite.com LLC to conduct any illegal activities. You are responsible for any messages you send via Yapwrite.com LLC and for the consequences thereof. Yapwrite.com LLC is released from all liability connecting its service to the content of messages sent or received. Content of messages is not monitored by Yapwrite.com LLC. You acknowledge all messages are monitored by the facility where the inmate is located. If messages are refused by the facility and returned to Yapwrite.com LLC you will be notified. You, the client, agree that Yapwrite.com LLC owns all rights, without reserve, to messages sent via its service.
You may cancel your account with us at any time via email at support@yapwrite.com, or by sending us a message through out website.
Yapwrite.com LLC reserves the right to terminate your account without warning, at any time, either upon request by a receiving facility or due to violation of our Terms of Service. Upon termination you will be notified of the decision and provided with explanation thereof. To the fullest extent of the law you agree to release Yapwrite.com LLC and all its employees from any liabilities resulting from messages sent or received on your behalf via the Yapwrite.com LLC mailing service.
Inmates cannot open accounts. Accounts must be opened online by non-incarcerated individuals who then add inmates to their account as penpals. Account holders may not send multiple copies of same material, attachments (other than photos), or items such as eBooks, PDF's, magazines, etc. It is understood that Yapwrite.com LLC is a letter forwarding business intended to facilitate original correspondence between incarcerated and non-incarcerated individuals.
By accepting these terms and conditions you agree to pay, unless otherwise noted, the fee(s) indicated by your selection of the Yapwrite.com LLC Service Plan.
Yapwrite.com LLC will continue to automatically process monthly payments at the indicated rate until you cancel your account or payment is declined. If automatic payment is declined, we will attempt to contact you in order to secure payment. If payment is not received, transactions will be blocked on your account and any letters sent by the inmate will remain unopened. After one year of non-activity your account will be deactivated. Debit accounts are on a per-transaction basis. A ten dollar ($10 USD) deposit is required. We deduct one dollar ($1.00) per transaction.
Blank pages are not scanned. Emails to the inmate are limited to a maximum of 8 pages front/back. Photos count as one page, and may be included with letters on both the Unlimited and Debit Plans at no extra cost. Photos are restricted to 30 per month, per inmate, and are printed on the same paper as the letter, in color. Mail is processed during normal business hours Monday though Friday. All incoming and outgoing correspondence is processed within 24 hours. 

Your privacy is important to us. We never share your information or personal details with a third party. You should know that all letters sent and received through Yapwrite.com LLC are monitored by the inmate's facility. All outgoing mail from the facility is opened and inspected before being allowed to leave. Likewise, all incoming mail is opened and inspected before being given to the inmate. Outside of inmate facilities your correspondence remains completely private. Yapwrite.com LLC does not monitor your messages.

Physical letters from inmates are kept for a period of 90 days. At the end of this time the letters are shredded and properly disposed of. If you would like to have your letters saved and shipped to you in bulk, please contact us for more information.

The standard Yapwrite.com LLC return address will be printed on all envelopes.

All information recorded when you open an account, along with any additional information you provide (such as inmate contact information), is used to facilitate services to the client.

After accepting the Terms of Service you will be redirected to the Subscribe page for payment. After subscribing, select Add Penpal to Account under the Penpals tab and start writing your inmate today!
